Thank you everyone for your interest of the Christian Fiction Readers Retreat! Christian Fiction Readers Retreat (CFRR) is a one day event gathering of Christian Fiction readers and authors. The event’s theme is “Honoring God through Christian Fiction” and will feature speaker sessions, author panels, breakout sessions, prayer & worship and author signings.

An unprecedented event in the Christian Fiction genre, CFRR offers an opportunity for readers to meet and chat with authors. The event will include food, games, giveaways and free books. Following a successful 2016 debut in Nashville, the 2017 CFRR takes place on August 12th in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Avid reader Bonnie Roof from Louisville, KY teamed up with book bloggers “Annie JC” of Just Commonly and “MeezCarrie” of Reading Is My Superpower to form the planning committee based on their common passion for Christian fiction and a desire for authors and readers to interact in a casual setting.  We welcome book blogger, Beth Erin & writer, Melony Teague to join our team as Associates for the 2017 Christian Fiction Readers Retreat.

The "ABC stewards" of this planning committee consists of:

Annie loves many things, her family, her friends and of course our Lord Jesus! She also loves food, design, style, fashion, travel and most dearly, books. She loves how different books transport her to a world of unknown, evoking different types of emotions and feelings. To her, every book tells a story. It doesn't matter if it's a children's book, or a contemporary fictional piece or even a biography. They each tell a story, be it make-belief or an account of true events. Each story, written by authors that spent hours, days or even years to share their love, their dreams or their memories are what makes books unique and a world unto itself. To honor that, she shares her reviews on her blog, Just Commonly, along with spotlights, author interviews, author guest posts and giveaways.

  1. This retreat sounds amazing! I'm about to publish my second book, and I'm slowly learning about the Christian community of authors, bloggers, and readers.
Maybe, if the retreat is nearby next year, I'll be able to catch it and meet some other authors. That would be exciting.
