Thank you, authors for your interest in joining us at the 2019 Christian Fiction Readers Retreat (CFRR)!  We were blessed and surprised by the enthusiasm of the author community in support of CFRR since its inception.  We look forward to more fun in MD/DC in 2019 and we pray that this event will continue to serve its purpose - to honor God through Christian Fiction.

Author Registration is open to published authors of the Christian Fiction. Both traditionally and independently published authors are eligible, but for bookstore/signing purposes in order to attend as an author your books must be available in print.

We sincerely appreciate those authors feeling led to participate in the retreat by donating books, swag, and other items for reader giveaways. Doing so provides added promo for authors and books, along with much reading enjoyment, inspiration and blessing for the readers. If interested, please specify what you will be donating and the amount on the sign up form. God bless you for your generosity!!  Book donations are used as giveaways at the event or subsequent giveaways related to the event.

Although CFRR is not an official non-profit organization, all funds collected are used for logistics of this event including but not limited to venue, event marketing, event gifts, catering..etc.  All fees & donations collected will be used to pay for services related to this and future events.  How to allocate funds are at the discretion of the coordinators (stewards) for the sole purpose of this event. Stewards and associates does not take any profit from the proceeds of the registration fees or sponsors.

This year, we're extending the event to include a Meet & Greet the night before. It'll be a fun time to just unwind from travels and just get to know each other without a full schedule. 

The Registration Fee for the Main Event (April 6, 2019, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM) includes:
  • Entry to the 2019 Christian Fiction Readers Retreat (CFRR) Main Event on April 6, 2019, which includes (3) speaker sessions, at least (2) author panels, breakout sessions and the opportunity meet and chat with readers, and fellow authors. 
  • Please note, due to limited space on activities,  NOT all authors will be able to participate in author panels and breakout sessions as authors. Author activity/full schedule will be announced this summer.

The Registration Fee for the Meet & Greet Event (April 5, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) includes:
  • Entry to the 2019 Christian Fiction Readers Retreat (CFRR) Meet & Greet Event on April 5, 2019. It will start at 6:00 PM run through 8:00 PM or later. 
  • Please note, the reserved space for the Meet & Greet have limited capacity, and therefore ticket sales will be closed once capacity is met. 
  • Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks will be served by the hotel. Guests are welcome to purchase additional food (only) from the hotel restaurant and bring it to the Meet & Greet. 
  • A relaxed schedule will be posted closer to date.

Please Note:  Travel & hotel accommodations are not included in the registration fee.  A discounted rate for accommodations will be available for guests of CFRR. We have a limited number of rooms blocked off for this event at the hotel venue. For more information, please head to our Venue & Lodging tab above.

Please note, we do have a capacity set for the number of authors participating. Please register at your earliest convenience.  Registration is complete when both registration form and payment is received.  However, ticket purchase is the deciding factor since it tabulates how many author tickets we have left.

Once registered, authors will receive periodic email/newsletter updates on activities and event coordination.

Important Additional Information


Full payment will be required to secure your registration. Payment can be made through a ticketing service via the link above "Registration Fee Payment". Your registration will be confirmed through the confirmation page after payment is made. Proper identification with photo and a printed copy of  your ticket(s) are required to sign in at the event date. Registration is non-transferable the day of event.  You may contact us before event date to transfer registration to someone else.


Cancellation can be made through June 30, 2018 for the main event for authors.  Registration fees will be refunded via PayPal to the registered email minus the cancellation fee as noted. Cancellations after the deadline will not be refunded. 

Dietary Options

The only meal we will be able to provide a dietary option is the lunch meal, with only vegetarian and dairy-free alternatives available.  Dietary alternatives will not be available for the light breakfast and afternoon snack. 

Author Signing

Each attendee is allowed to bring no more than 2 personal (outside) copies of each author's books, with a maximum of 10 books total for signing, please. More books will be available to purchase at the event throughout the day. Unlimited amount of books purchased at the event permitted for signing.

Book Seller

Realm Makers will be the exclusive bookseller at the 2019 Christian Fiction Readers Retreat. Due to previous issues with selling books for independently published titles, only traditionally published titles will be sold by Realm Makers at the event. Unsold books are available for authors to "buy back" at a discount. 

For authors whose books are print-on-demand and non returnable. If the author bring their own inventory, Realm Makers are willing to sell them on consignment for a 40% fee, and the author would retake what was unsold.

*Only independently published titles are able to be sold by the authors themselves. 

Photo & Videotaping Policy

Photos & videotaping will be taken place at the event. Only event-appointed videographer are allowed to take videos/motion pictures at the event.  Please note that with registration, you are consenting CFRR with permission to use a photo or video taken at the event that you may be present or visible for marketing purposes relating to this or future CFRR events only.

Age Requirements

This event is only open to adults, 18 years or older and young adults, ages 14 through 17.  However, you must be at least 18 years of age to attend this event without a parent or guardian present with you at all times.  Babies (even nursing infants) and children are not allowed.
